How To Prepare For A Boudoir Session

So you booked a boudoir session and now you are nervous because you have no idea what to expect. Relax and take a deep breath. I have written this little guide to help you feel prepared and calm those nerves.

Before The Session

Once your session is booked, it is time to start thinking about your vision. Is there a certain theme you're going for? Is there a certain color you look best in? Are there any props you just have to have in your pictures? Make sure that you let me know all the details of how you see the session going. As long as I know what you want, I can do my best to make it happen. I highly recommend that you get your hair and makeup professionally done. If you do, make sure to schedule your appointment early enough that you won't be late to the session.

What To Wear

I know deciding what to wear can be really stressful. The outfits that you choose should make you feel sexy, but also be comfortable. The basics are usually: bra and panty sets, corsets, garters and stockings. An oversized sweater and/or your man's shirt (bonus points if it's button up) can be a more casual and sexy look. A pair of killer shoes can really make a look stand out. You won't be walking in them, so wear those amazing heels you've kept in the back of the closet. If you prefer no shoes, that's okay too. Bare feet can be more organic and natural. Simple earrings and/or a necklace can be worn, but large pieces of jewelry may be hard to deal with when moving around and changing positions.
